Health and Wellness
Sleep
Maintaining my 7-8 hour consistency, which feels good. My next challenge is creating a better wind-down routine and hitting that 10:30 PM bedtime more reliably.
Diet
Since this was my deload week, I gave myself permission to indulge while still tracking everything in MacroFactor. The week’s highlights included omakase on Wednesday, steak with mashed potatoes and salmon on Friday, Egyptian-style seafood on Saturday, and Uzbek dinner with friends on Sunday.
I’ve gotten better at adjusting my daily calories when I know a big meal is coming. My weight is sitting comfortably at 180 lbs, and I even hit a new low of 179.3 lbs on Friday and Saturday.
Exercise
My deload week included four Muay Thai sessions, two easy 3-mile runs, and two weightlifting sessions. With my regular coach in Miami, I worked with a substitute who helped me refine my kicks and movement—I’m finally starting to figure out those switch kicks.
I love experimenting on the heavy bag after training sessions. It’s where I really explore what works for my style. The running development has been exciting too. I’ve established a solid route to Gantry Park and back, and I’m starting to look forward to these runs. Curious to see how running will impact my Muay Thai performance and physique.
Learning and Building
This week was rough productivity-wise. Poor information diet, procrastination, and minimal progress beyond my daily 25-minute AI study sessions.
I’m losing steam with the Andrew Ng ML courses. The material isn’t engaging me the way I’d hoped, and without a concrete project to apply the knowledge to, my motivation is waning. I’m realizing I’m much more energized when I’m building and experimenting rather than just consuming content. Still planning to power through and complete the course, but this has been a good reminder about how I learn best.
Personal Life
I’ve been wrestling with the idea of sharing content on social media around fitness, diet, and tech. There’s this internal tension between wanting to stay private and low-key versus recognizing that getting serious about marketing and distribution means practicing these skills. Social media feels like the obvious starting point, but I’m still hesitant. Maybe that’s exactly why I should do it.
