Sleep

Weekday sleep was excellent—I felt well-rested and sharp throughout Monday to Friday. The weekend was a completely different story. Friday night, I couldn’t fall asleep and spent three hours tossing and turning before finally getting up for a snack and going to bed at 3 AM. Unfortunately, I still woke up at my usual 6:45 AM and couldn’t manage to sleep in. Saturday night was even worse: after getting home from an Arabic rooftop party in Brooklyn at 11 PM, I watched UFC until 1 AM, then fell down a YouTube rabbit hole until 5 AM. In summary: great sleep Monday through Friday, terrible sleep over the weekend.

Diet

My diet was dialed in for 6 out of 7 days this week. Saturday night was my downfall—I indulged hard. While everything was clean, organic, whole food (eggs, yogurt bowls, dates, nuts, and fruits), I consumed way too much of it, hitting over 7,000 calories. Not my proudest moment. I overcorrected on Sunday with a 4-mile run followed by a mile walk, fasted all day, then hit the sauna and ice bath in the afternoon. I have a tendency to go off the rails quickly and need to learn better control.

Exercise

Training felt great this week. I’m getting faster and sharper at Muay Thai, learning to be more efficient and smooth with my strikes. My boxing has improved significantly, and I’m better at gauging my range. I’m excited to keep progressing and am seriously considering going to Thailand next year to train and immerse myself in the culture.

What I’m Learning/Building

Still on my August break, so not much to report here.

Personal

Had an awesome time at the Arabic party on Saturday—good music, good people, and great vibes all around. I repeated my sauna recovery routine from last week and felt amazing afterward!
